Home Exchange to Seattle Washington

My wife and I have already complete three home exchanges to Seattle.  There are so many things to do and see, along with awesome views.  So what was so different about this swap?    We received the inquiry to our listing early on December 26.  Three days later, we were in our exchange home and they were in ours for a four day weekend swap.  Now that's last minute! 

So what's to do in Seattle?  Everyone's idea of things to do may be different but here are some of our favorites:  Views from the space needle, visiting Pikes Market - crowded and interesting to see fish being tossed, but a very popular spot, taking a tour at the Museum of Flight were one can walk through a real Concorde, Air force 1, plane that carried US presidents and of course many other displays.  A bit north is the Boeing assembly plan in Everett where we watched 16 747 planes in various stages of assembly all in one gigantic room in the worlds largest building.  Then there is the glass museum in nearby Tacoma, great shopping and numerous walking tours, harbour visits and sporting and recreational activities.  With Seattle being the home base for Starbucks, there are oodles of coffee shops.

The Seattle home was on a narrow street, due to parking on both sides.  It was older but remolded inside.  Our exchange hosts left us a laptop computer to use plus various discount coupons from free coffee at Starbucks, discounts on groceries  to reduced admission to many attractions.  A great long weekend vacation home away from home.
