I
have had a couple of wonderful exchanges with Global Home Exchange. One
in Holland with a couple of teachers who took a four month sabbatical to
travel in the USA. We exchanged homes & cars for one month & we
both used the opportunity to see as much as possible. I traveled through
Holland, Belgium & France in their car, using their home as a base.
They used my car & traveled to the Black Hills of South Dakota and
to Colorado and the Grand Canyon. After I returned home we mutually
agreed that they should stay an extra week because we enjoyed each other
so much. We became fast friends and still communicate
with each other.
My other exchange was with a couple from Vancouver. They wanted
desperately to come to Omaha to spend time with friends who had recently
moved here. As it turned out, their friends had purchased a home within
six blocks of my house! The two couples went back & forth between
the two homes and had a delightful 10 day visit with each other, while
still maintaining their privacy and comfort. In the meantime I was
enjoying an incredible home on Vancouver's North shore, overlooking
Vancouver Harbor. It was incredible!
I highly recommend home exchange as a safe and reliable vehicle to an
incredible (and affordable) vacation.
