Global Home Exchange

Global Home Exchange and Vacation Homes is a marketplace for home exchange, vacation rentals, house swaps, holiday homes and vacation rental homes worldwide. Travelers find home exchange or vacation rental accommodations including houses, apartments, flats, town homes, condos, chalets, cabins, beach houses, villas, bed and breakfasts and other vacation accommodation. 

Can your desired destination influence your exchange choices? 

There is at least one home exchange organization that advises it's members that all locations are not desirable and someone that lives in a rural area shouldn't expect an exchange from someone living in Tuscany, Rome or New York. 

Our experience over many years with Global Home Exchange membership is different. We have had members from remote areas find exchanges to Europe, members in Edmonton Canada find an exchange in the Caribbean in January and members in the Australian outback find the exchange they wanted in the USA. 

Over the many years that we have worked with home swaps,  we have come to appreciate that one can not predict why someone would want an exchange to a particular area. We have had members from remote areas find exchanges from people who loved horseback riding, fishing and hunting.  We also have had members in Hawaii that exchanged homes with exchange partners that didn't even go to the beach and yes even members from a warm climate that just wanted to experience living for a week or two in snow.   Many Global members are open to traveling to new places, so don't let your area be a limitation to you finding a home swap.

If your home is in an out of the way area or not tourist oriented, we encourage you to send out heaps of inquiries, and put a bit of effort into describing your home, neighborhood and area. As Global is network of several home exchange clubs, we suggest you take advantage of the worldwide membership offered  and send our lots of inquiries to support your listing.

12. To save money.  In hard economic times home exchange provides the best vacation accommodation value. There is no cost for accommodation.

13.  A home exchange may allow one the opportunity to bring  pets on vacation with them.

14.  With home swaps, one avoids hotel costs, cramped over priced rooms and hotel surcharges.

Given enough time, flexibility with dates and destinations along with some effort we believe most people wanting an exchange can arrange one.
