Exchanging Gifts as part of a home exchange

Many people leave a small gift for their exchange partners to enjoy upon arrival. On swapping homes, we have had our exchange partners leave us fresh flowers, home made cookies, bottles of local wine, a travel package of maps and picture booklets of their area.

When we arrived home we also have found some parting gifts. One of our partners noted that my wife collected chicken ornaments and decorations. What a nice surprise to see her collection was added to by some thoughtful guests.
